FOOTBALL: We’ve a Deadly Attack – Oshoala
Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has argued that if they can blend
enough as a team, they will have the best attack at the tournament.
The 20-year-old Liverpool Ladies forward is in the team, alongside
Desire Oparanozie, Iniabasi Umotong, Courtney Dike and Francesca
Ordega, and believes they will potentially have the deadliest
frontline in Canada. "We have a very good attack and I think that is
one thing that will work for us if we blend properly as a team," she
said. "The most important thing is just for us to get a better
understanding of one another, understand each person's strengths and
that will give us an advantage." The Falcons will play Sweden in their
opening fixture and Oshoala is expected to lead Nigeria's forward line
but she says it will be a team effort and not just her. "I'm not the
only one on the team, I have teammates and it's going to be a
collective effort," she stated.
