Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has said that although the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a platform under which he ran for a second term but lost in the 2015 elections failed to win the presidency seat, the failure however did not diminish the party. He however said that it is a clear sign that PDP will win in 2019, following the steps the party is taking now. President Muhammadu Buhari has said he would only return to Nigeria when his London doctors certify him well enough to do so. In the latest ranking of universities in Nigeria just released by the National Universities Commission (NUC 2017), the University of Ibadan maintained its leadership position in the country as the number one university in Nigeria. It was followed by the University of Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
